Transense Technologies (LON:TRT) were to today the subject of a rerating by Finncap. Finncap state that two game-changing contracts in the space of two weeks should be a catalyst to catapult the shares, turning transense from a development company into a validated commercial operation.

The company has announced a significant initial order for 50 iTrack II systems by an unnamed customer for use in North American mines. Two weeks ago GE Aviation’s T901 engine was selected by the US Army to re-engine its Apache and Black Hawk helicopters. Transense’s SAW sensor will be used by GE on this huge programme.

Finncap state

“We see this as a massive technical endorsement by one of the world’s largest industrial companies. The current market cap is nowhere close to representing the company’s current prospects, even after the recent positive position to the announcements.”

Based in Oxfordshire, UK, Transense Technologies plc has developed patent-protected sensor systems and supporting technology for use in a variety of diverse high growth markets. Transense’s Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW), wireless, battery-less, sensor systems offer significant advantages over legacy wireless sensor systems. Transense is targeting the transport and mining industries, and the global torque, temperature and pressure sensing markets, via its trading divisions, Translogik and SAWSense.
