Tesla drivers across North America and Europe have been facing difficulty in charging their cars due to an unexpected outage in the company’s infrastructure. This is impacting the official Tesla mobile app and all third-party services. Users have been shown the error message ‘503 Server Maintenance’ and have been unable to access public chargers or their Powerwall home battery charging system.

Tesla owners have taken to Twitter to demand answers from Elon Musk, who may well be busy with issues over at Twitter. Yesterday, sever users reported that their ‘For You’ pages were full of tweets and replies to tweets from the billionaire. This morning, Musk acknowledged the glitch in a tweet saying, ‘Please stay tuned while we make adjustments to the uh.…”algorithm”,’

It is understood that drivers in China are unaffected as the system is based elsewhere. Tesla is yet to comment on the exact cause of the outage or when the issue will be resolved.
