Smurfit Kappa receives top supplier awards in Colombia

Smurfit Kappa (LON:SKG) has secured further recognition of its innovative approach to packaging after winning two Grupo Nutresa awards in Colombia.

Grupo Nutresa is one of the largest companies in Colombia where its products  includes food and drink, have over 60% market share.

Smurfit Kappa first award was for ‘Best Supplier – Large Company’, the most prestigious award of the ceremony. The second was the ‘Outstanding Supplier of Packaging’ award. This year’s Nutresa awards included over 363 entrants that were judged on a range of criteria including innovation, productivity, logistics and sustainability.

Alvaro Jose Henao, CEO of the Smurfit Kappa Central Cluster in the Americas, said: “At Smurfit Kappa we are proud to have been a close partner of Grupo Nutresa for over 40 years.
