Sativa Wellness Group plc (AQSE:SWEL) Executive Chairman Geremy Thomas caught up with DirectorsTalk to discuss clinical roll-out, being listed on the government’s recommended testing partner list for return tests to the UK and how revenues are looking for the group.
Q1: It looks like Sativa Wellness Group’s testing reach is extending, where are you on the clinic roll-out?
A1: Today, we announced that we are listed on the government recommended testing partner list for return tests to the UK. So, up to this moment, we’ve been doing the PCR testing for business travellers leaving the UK and now we are able to, at the time of setting up those tests, we are able to offer the 2 and 8 PCR tests that are required for passengers returning into the UK as well as being able to offer now the 5 day test and release test. So, this really does increase the range of services we can offer and that will have a positive impact on our revenues.
As far as the clinics are concerned, we put out some time ago that we had a target of getting to 30 clinics by the end of April and we’re now at 24 so we’re well on target, we will have our 30 clinics up and running by the end of the month. I think that’ll be timely as the Prime Minister yesterday was talking about the restrictions being lifted for international travel, more information to come but it looks as if there will be a traffic light system for accessing countries and that could start as early as May 17th.
So, that’s very good for us and that’s what we’ve been waiting for.
Q2: I presume then that you’re booking customers back in for return when they have their outbound test done?
A2: Yes, well actually how that works is you have to register for your inbound quarantine tests, your day 2 and day 8, and that’s for the current system.
What the new system will be, we haven’t got precise details on it yet, there’ll be a green zone which will be the countries that are most preferred for us to visit and that will involve an outbound test to satisfy those countries that we are COVID-free and it will involve an inbound test to present when we get back.
Then there will be an amber zone which will involve a higher level of testing, it will involve us being quarantined for 10 days when we return to the UK. In terms of that quarantine, you take a test on day 2 and day 8 but you can release yourself on day 5 by taking an additional test and all those tests we are able to offer as part of the preparation for you making those travel arrangements.
The red zone we are possible not involved in, that’s where travellers have to return and go from the airport to a government organised hotel and they spend their quarantine time there so possibly not going to be involved in that.
Q3: This is all obviously going to impact revenues, how are revenues looking for Sativa Wellness Group?
A3: We clocked another revenue milestone for the month of March, which was a record for us, really all this preparation we’re putting in place is for the release of international travel again and that’s what we’re looking forward to and we’re getting close to that.
We should have our 30 clinics up and running by mid-May so it’s going to be a busy time for us.
