Microsaic Systems PLC (LON:MSYS), the developer of point of need mass spectrometry (“MS”) instruments, has today announced that it has signed an agreement with Unimicro Technologies Inc. (“Unimicro”)(the “Agreement”).
The Agreement covers the integration of Microsaic’s compact 4500 MiD® mass spectrometry detector with Unimicro’s Capillary Electrophoresis (“CE”) Platform. Once integrated, the combined product will be sold directly by Unimicro in China via its extensive distribution network.
Glenn Tracey, CEO of Microsaic, commented, “This represents a very exciting opportunity for Microsaic. We are delighted to be working in partnership with Unimicro, to extend our compact mass spectrometry technology into China. Unimicro’s CE products are the perfect combination for our newly launched 4500 MiD®, targeting a wide range of applications in chemical and biological separation and detection.”
Dr Li, Vice President of Unimicro, added, “Our fully automated CE system demonstrates nano-CE capability with accuracy, performance, stability and repeatability, all in one easy-to-use platform. The integration of Microsaic’s nano-flow Electro-Spray Ionisation technology is the perfect match, and the 4500 MiD® is truly an all-in-one, compact system.”
