Early this morning, police were called to Waterson Vale in Chelmsford, England following reports of a 16-year-old boy sustaining serious injuries. The victim was taken to hospital, but he later died. In response to the tragic incident, an 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder.
Officers from Essex Police have set up a cordon at Waterson Vale while they investigate the fatal incident. Detective Chief Inspector Ashley Howard spoke about the case, saying: “This is a tragic incident where a 16-year-old child has lost his life. We have a team of officers working solidly to determine what has happened here and get justice for his family.”
He also appealed to the public for information, asking anyone who was in the area last night and may have witnessed or heard anything to contact them.
The investigation is ongoing and police remain at the scene. They urge anyone with any further information to contact them to assist with the investigation.
