London Stock Exchange Group plc (LON:LSE) today announced that Marshall Bailey OBE and Ruth Wandhöfer will join the Group Board as Independent Non-Executive Directors. Marshall’s appointment is effective immediately and Ruth will join the Board from 22 October 2018.
LSEG also announces that Marshall Bailey has been appointed Chairman of LCH Group, which is majority-owned by LSEG, and Professor Lex Hoogduin has stepped down from his role as Chairman of LCH Group Limited and as a Non-Executive Director of LSEG. Lex has been a member of the Board of LSEG since December 2015 and Chair of LCHG since March 2015. He continues as Chairman of LCH Ltd and LCH SA and will remain as an Independent Director of LCH Group.

Marshall Bailey OBE has spent almost thirty years in the financial services sector and brings considerable capital markets, regulatory and risk experience. He is currently Chair of the Financial Services Compensation Scheme and served as non-Executive Director of UK Financial Investments. He also served as President of ACI Financial Markets Association and has held a number of senior positions at State Street Global Markets and RBC Capital Markets.
Ruth Wandhöfer was most recently Global Head of Regulatory & Market Strategy for Treasury and Trade Solutions at Citi, where she spent more than a decade in a variety of regulatory roles in the transaction services area. She also brings considerable experience in the emerging Fintech and RegTech sector. She has previously spent four years as a Policy Adviser on Securities Services and Payments at the European Banking Federation.
