Lewis Capaldi was seen getting cozy with a suspected new girlfriend, 23-year-old actress and model Ellie MacDowall, at the Brits after party on Saturday night. The 26-year-old singer had just finished performing an acoustic version of his hit single “Forget Me” at the awards ceremony and was ready to let his guard down. Event guests reported that the couple were flirting up a storm and even shared kisses and cuddles.
The two have reportedly been seeing each other for the last few months, but this marked their first public display of affection. During the after-party, they were seen sitting together on a sofa, kissing and talking before Lewis headed to the dance floor. According to an onlooker, “It was very sweet to see him so happy, and Ellie clearly adores him too.”
Lewis and Ellie have been keeping their relationship relatively under wraps until now, but there are pictures of the couple on Ellie’s Instagram page. They were first spotted out together after a night of partying last November. Ellie is a graduate from the MGA Academy of Performing Arts and is set to play Jennifer in the upcoming ITV biopic Archie.
Before his performance at the Brit Awards, Lewis had an awkward moment with host Mo Gilligan who accidentally introduced him as “Sam Capaldi” before apologizing and admitting that the drinks offered on the night were very strong. Despite the blunder, Lewis still managed to put on an impressive show, wowing the crowd with his stripped-down version of “Forget Me.”
