Jubilee Metals strenghens Board with new appointments

Jubilee Metals Group plc

Jubilee Metals Group plc (LON:JLP) has announced the appointment of Jonathan (Jonny) Morley-Kirk as Board Director. Additionally, the Company confirms the appointment of Dr Reuel Khoza as a Board Director, following the announcement made on 19 September 2024. Both appointments are effective immediately.

Jonathan has also been appointed as the interim Finance Director of the Company, effective immediately, until a new Group CFO is appointed. At that time, Jonathan will transition to a non-executive role on the Jubilee Board. He will be largely based at the South African and Zambian offices of Jubilee. During this interim phase, Jonathan will support the Board, particularly the CEO, in engaging with shareholders and advancing the implementation of decentralised executive boards for the Company’s operations in Zambia and South Africa, in alignment with the enhanced governance structures.

Jonathan qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1986 and held directorial positions at Samuel Montagu & Co and SG Warburg Securities in London before moving to Jersey in 1995. Jonathan has over 30 years’ experience in senior finance roles in public and private companies, mainly focused on natural resources in developing economies, including CFO roles at Longreach Oil & Gas Ltd (TSX-listed) and Jersey Oil & Gas (E&P) Ltd (before its sale to AIM-listed Trap Oil plc).

He is currently a non-executive director of Clean Tech Lithium PLC, Bluebird Mining Ventures Limited and Amala Foods PLC, as well as at a number of investment companies and investment funds.  Jonathan has previously served as a non-executive director of various listed companies, including Cardinal Resources PLC and East Siberian PLC. He has also acted as interim CFO at a number of private and public companies and has extensive experience managing multi-jurisdiction projects, different teams and governance environments, as well as investor relations.

Leon Coetzer, CEO of Jubilee Metals commented:

“I am delighted that both Reuel and Jonathan have joined our Board, and particularly pleased that we can tap into Jonathan’s extensive executive experience of financial leadership within rapidly growing, listed resource companies, during his role as Jubilee’s interim Finance Director.”
