Universe Group Plc (LON:UNG) CEO Jeremy Lewis talks to DirectorsTalk about its next generation EPOS system now installed in 70 Rontec forecourts. Jeremy provides more information on the EPOS solution, the benefits of a recently signed agreement with NetPay, how this and the relationship with Rontec came about and what these announcements mean for Universe.
Rontec is a major player in the UK industry, operating over 240 forecourts across England and Wales. It partners with leading brands such as Esso, BP, Texaco and Shell as well as Spar, Morrisons, and Shop N’ Drive. Site acquisitions have driven strong growth in recent years with Rontec looking to improve their retail management systems in both the forecourt and the stores.
HTEC, the Universe subsidiary, already the supplier of payment systems to Rontec, were selected and the two companies have been working together to deliver the latest EPOS technology. Deployment commenced in 2017 and is continuing.
