Ilika plc (LON: IKA), the advanced solid-state battery technology and materials innovation company, announced today an intended manufacturing partnership with Semefab Ltd for the manufacture of Stereaxâ thin film solid-state cells.
Since 1986, Semefab has produced a diverse portfolio of CMOS, ASIC and semiconductor technologies. Ilika and Semefab have undertaken a detailed review of Ilika’s qualified process for the manufacture of Stereaxâ thin film batteries. Semefab has confirmed that it has the microfabrication know-how to be able to manufacture Stereaxâ cells on an economic basis in quantities suitable for market introduction of products. Semefab has also confirmed that the Ilika process is technically compatible with its facility in Fife, Scotland.
