Hill & Smith PLC (LON:HILS), the international provider of sustainable infrastructure products and services, has announced the appointment of Carol Chesney as a non-executive Director with effect from 1 January 2024.  Carol will also join the Nomination, Audit and Remuneration Committees of the Board.  As previously communicated, Mark Reckitt will retire from the Board at the AGM in May 2024, having joined the Board in 2016.  Carol will take over from Mark as Chair of the Audit Committee following the AGM.

The appointment follows a comprehensive search process using an external search firm, led by the Nomination Committee.

Tony Quinlan, Senior Independent Director and Chair of the Nomination Committee said:

“I am delighted to welcome Carol to the Board of Hill & Smith.  She brings a wealth of relevant experience to the Board and Audit Committee, not only in the geographies and sectors in which we operate, but also a deep understanding of the business model and culture that are central to the success of the Group”.
