Haydale Graphene Industries Plc, (LON:HAYD) the global advanced materials group, notes the announcement made by ASX-listed Talga Resources Ltd this morning and confirms that the Company has entered into a commercial supply and development agreement (the ‘Agreement’) for the production, sales and marketing of jointly developed transparent conductive ink products using graphene for industrial applications in Asia.
The companies will look to enhance the properties of graphene transparent conductive ink for high speed “Roll to Roll” printing by using Talga’s highly conductive graphitic materials. The Agreement follows initial tests that demonstrated Talga material can enhance electrical conductivity of Haydale’s transparent inks by 15% or more above that of synthetic graphite.
Commenting on the Agreement, Ray Gibbs, CEO of Haydale Graphene Industries Plc, said: “We have been working with Talga for some time (announced 9th July 2015) and our initial test results on our patent-pending transparent conductive ink have been very positive. In November 2017, we announced the development of our PATit anti-counterfeiting technology utilising proprietary software codes and graphene-based ink formulation. This exclusive Agreement marks the next step in the commerialisation of that technology by creating the supply chain to enable the production of commercial quantities of our ink in order to meet the anticipated demand from enquiries received from Asia and the EU. The addition of a transparent conductive ink to our existing opaque conductive inks opens up a far more significant market opportunity for our technology.”
