Guild Esports plc (LON:GILD), a global team organisation and lifestyle brand, has announced that all five of its Fortnite pro-players have qualified for the Fortnite Championship Series (FNCS) All-Star Showdown, competing for a share of the $3,000,000 prize pool.
Taking place from June 11th to June 26th, the FNCS All-Star Showdown will culminate with the All-Star Solo Championship that is broadcast live to the tournament’s substantial audience of 16.8 million followers on social media channels across Twitch and Youtube in multiple languages. The athletes will be competing for over $1-million (USD) in prize money.
Guild’s 2021 FNCS champions Henrik Mclean (‘Hen’) and Jannis Matwin (‘JannisZ’) will be joined by two-times major champion Tai Starčič (‘TaySon’), Nikolaj Andreas Frøslev (‘Flikk’) and Anas El-Abd (‘Anas’). The number of placements from the roster showcases Guild as the No. 1-ranked Fortnite roster in the world, having had a firm grip at the top of the European Fortnite Power rankings for the last five months.
The All-Star Showdown appearances are also coupled with continued audience growth across owned channels, recently surpassing 700,000, and cementing Guild as the fastest-growing Esports organisation in Europe.
Carleton Curtis, Guild Esports Executive Chairman, said: “We are delighted that our complete roster has qualified for the FNCS All-Star Showdown, showing the world that our performance-based approach to training and team-building means we not only have the best roster in Europe but arguably in the world. We are determined to keep pushing for continued success and many more trophies.”
