Gresham House PLC (LON:GHE), the specialist alternative asset manager, announced today that Simon Stilwell will join the Company Board as Non-Executive Director effective 18 December 2017.
With over 20 years’ experience in the City, Simon was, until 2015, Chief Executive of Liberum, the investment bank that he co-founded in 2007. Prior to Liberum, Simon was Head of Sales for Small Companies at Collins Stewart plc and was also a Director at Beeson Gregory Limited. Simon is currently CEO of Vitesse Media Plc, an AIM listed digital media and events business.
Simon replaces Peter Moon who is stepping down from his position on the Board of Gresham House on 31 December 2017 to become Chairman of the Investment Committee for the British Strategic Investment Fund (“BSIF”), Gresham House’s patient capital fund for UK housing and infrastructure related assets. Peter has a wealth of investment experience from roles such as Chief Investment Officer of the Universities Superannuation Scheme and is well placed to lead the BSIF Investment Committee. BSIF is the first fund on Gresham House’s Long Term Investment Solutions Platform and will invest in UK housing and infrastructure-related assets.
Anthony Townsend, Chairman of Gresham House Plc, said: “I am pleased to welcome Simon to the Gresham House Board. He brings a wealth of knowledge from his two decades in capital markets. His experience of working with companies to grow and forge their reputations in the City will be invaluable to Gresham House. Simon is the ideal candidate to carry on the good work of Peter Moon and help support the momentum and shareholder value aspirations of the Company. On behalf of the Board and shareholders, I would particularly like to thank Peter for his very valuable service as a Director. He has played a major part in overseeing the successful transformation of Gresham House under the new management team.”
