Diploma PLC (LOM:DPLM), the international value-add distribution group, has announced that, following a comprehensive externally-facilitated process, it has appointed Katie Bickerstaffe as a non-executive director and as Senior Independent Director, with effect from 1 October 2024.
From the same date, Katie will also be a member of each of the Audit, Remuneration and Nomination Committees. Accordingly, Anne Thorburn will step down from the Board and as Senior Independent Director following nine years of service.
Katie is currently a non-executive director and Chair of the Remuneration Committee at Barratt Developments Plc and Senior Independent Director of the England and Wales Cricket Board. Katie was previously Co-Chief Executive Officer at Marks & Spencer Group Plc, Executive Chair at SSE Energy Services, CEO Designate at SSE Plc and CEO UK & Ireland at Dixons Carphone Plc.
