Digital 9 Infrastructure plc (LON:DGI9), a leading investor in the infrastructure of the internet, has announced that Lisa Harrington will succeed Keith Mansfield as Senior Independent Director of the Board with immediate effect. Keith Mansfield will remain a Non-Executive Director and the Chair of the Audit Committee of the Board.
Lisa joined the Board as a Non-Executive Director of the Company at IPO, and is a member of the Audit and Management Engagement Committees and Chair of the Nomination Committee. Lisa will bring extensive industry experience to the role gained from senior executive and non-executive roles, including at British Telecom (LON:BT.A) in 2007, where she spent 10 years in a range of leadership positions with her final role as Chief Customer Officer BT Group, reporting to the CEO. In 2021, Lisa also held the interim Managing Director role at Hyperoptic Ltd, a private equity backed fibre alternative network. Lisa is currently a Non-Executive Director of Post Office Ltd and Truespeed Communications Ltd and has previously held non-executive posts on the boards of Southern Water, West London NHS Mental Trust and Calisen plc (FTSE250).
The Board is supportive of the FCA’s diversity targets set out within Listing Rule 9.8.6(9) which is effective for financial accounting periods starting from 1 April 2022. Following a review of the roles undertaken by the individual Directors, the Board has elected to change its Senior Independent Director as part of its commitment to meeting these targets.
