Dana Gas (PJSC), a prominent Middle Eastern natural gas company, has officially announced the restoration of full production levels at the Khor Mor gas facility in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. This significant development comes after the facility suffered disruptions due to a recent attack.
The Khor Mor facility, crucial for the region’s energy infrastructure, is now operating above its usual capacity, producing more than 500 million standard cubic feet of gas, 1,100 metric tons of LPG, and 15,000 barrels of condensate each day. This restoration marks a significant rebound in operations, crucial for meeting the energy demands of the local power stations and the LPG needs of the Kurdistan region.
The resumption of full-scale operations was made possible through concerted efforts by the Iraqi central government and the Kurdistan Regional Government, which included reinforced security measures and strengthened defences at the site. Dana Gas has expressed gratitude towards the authorities for their swift response and ongoing support in ensuring the facility’s safety and operational continuity.
Dana Gas and its partners remain committed to upholding the highest safety standards for the protection and security of their personnel and infrastructure. By restoring full production, Dana Gas continues to support Iraq’s electricity generation and contributes to a more sustainable and affordable energy future for the region.
