Computacenter plc (LON:CCC) has announced that Peter Ryan has notified the Company that he will not seek re-election as a director at its 2024 Annual General Meeting to be held on Tuesday 14 May 2024, and will therefore step down from his role as Chair with effect from the conclusion of that meeting. The Board would like to thank Peter for the significant contribution he has made since his appointment as a director in 2018, during a period of sustained growth and success for the Company.

The Company further announces that upon Peter’s retirement from the Board, Pauline Campbell will relinquish her role as Audit Committee Chair and succeed Peter as Chair. Pauline joined Computacenter as a Non-Executive Director in August 2021, and is a former PricewaterhouseCoopers Partner, who served on the Governance Board of the PwC UK firm, including the Public Interest Body and the equivalent body at PwC’s Global Network, and therefore brings a wealth of experience. Pauline is a former Non-Executive Director of Micro Focus International plc.

Peter Ryan commented:

“It has been my privilege to chair the board of Computacenter plc for the past five years. I have nothing but admiration for the outstanding people, values and culture which have been the key ingredients in Computacenter’s enduring success.  I am confident that the Company is well positioned to continue to thrive and wish Pauline much success in her new role.”

A recruitment process is now underway for an additional independent Non-Executive Director, who will take up the role of Audit Committee Chair. The Company will make a further announcement once this appointment has been made.
