Captain Sandy Yawn, star of the Bravo TV show Below Deck, has found herself in hot water with fans after making a remark about her co-star Fraser Olender. During a tense confrontation, Captain Sandy described Fraser as a ‘cancer’ on the boat and criticized his leadership skills. This caused Fraser to break down in tears, as he was personally affected by the remark due to having lost a family member to cancer.

The comment was met with widespread criticism from viewers, who labeled it ‘the worst thing that could be said to someone’. Some even pointed out that Captain Sandy has experienced cancer in her own life, as she previously revealed that she was diagnosed with kidney cancer in 2015.

Captain Sandy has not yet addressed the controversy and it remains to be seen if she will issue an apology. Meanwhile, Below Deck airs on Bravo on Mondays, and is available to stream on hayu the same day.
