Bluejay Mining Plc ORD 0.01p (LON:JAY), the AIM and FSE listed company with projects in Greenland and Finland, today announced the completion of the public pre-consultation phase of the permitting process for the Pituffik Titanium Project in Greenland (‘Pituffik’).

Having confirmed that Pituffik represents the highest-grade large-scale ilmenite project globally, Bluejay is focused on the core deliverables for 2017. These include determining the volume characteristic of Pituffik, delivering a bulk sample to potential offtake partners, completing the Feasibility Study and lodging an application for an Exploitation Licence.

This initial step has been completed in support of the Company’s objectives, and in line with Greenland’s legislative framework for granting exploitation licences. It is aimed at creating a collaborative dialogue for all stakeholders prior to the completion of the Environmental Impact Assessment (‘EIA’) and Social Impact Assessment (‘SIA’) for final assessment.

The Company is very pleased with the responses received and will now work to incorporate the points raised into a final form document and move into the next phase of the process required to secure an Exploitation Licence. The next stage involves a public consultation of the final draft EIA and SIA documents. Accordingly, the Company is now preparing these documents and further updates will be made in due course.

Bluejay Mining Plc ORD 0.01p CEO Roderick McIllree said, “The development of Pituffik has a limited environmental footprint due to the a small intended infrastructure, no tailings and no chemical use. This will assist greatly during the assessment of Pituffik as we move through the permitting process towards ultimate development. We will continue to update shareholders accordingly.”
