Avation appoints Gerry Butler as the new Head of Aircraft Trading and Capital Markets

Avation PLC (LON:AVAP), the commercial passenger aircraft leasing company, has advised of the appointment of Mr Gerry Butler as the new Head of Aircraft Trading and Capital Markets. Mr Butler has over 20 years aircraft leasing and finance experience and a deep understanding of the sector. Mr Butler’s role will involve overseeing the transition, sale and acquisitions of aircraft and will be involved in exploring options future capital markets activities of the Company.

Mr Butler is based in Singapore with over 20 years experience in aircraft finance, including with some of the large portfolio lessors such as China Aircraft Leasing Group Holdings Limited, MERX, GAAM, RBS Aviation Capital and Apollo Global Management. Mr Butler has also been a board member and is a past president of International Society of Transport Aircraft Trading (ISTAT) which in our view is the premier international, not-for-profit organization for aviation professionals.”
