AdEPT Technology Group plc (LON:ADT) is on course to win more business in the education sector as it continues its strategic partnership with Google for Education and Microsoft 365 for Education.

Responding to significant market demand, the partnerships   enable AdEPT to win incremental cloud business – helping the Group to further support the education market place which is expected to further grow to £96.5 billion in 2022/23 (Source: HM Treasury policy paper 4th Sept 2019).

MD of AdEPT Education, David Bealing, said: “AdEPT Education is one of a limited number of accredited suppliers in the country that advise, fulfil and provide services for Google and Microsoft education platforms, alongside available upgrade paths.”

What is the DfE cloud digital platform?

AdEPT Education is the expert enabler that provides schools and multi-academy trusts with digital educational platforms at scale that are funded by the DfE.

Digital Educational Platforms comprise cloud applications and tools for the education sector. They are used by teachers, administrative staff and students – and are designed specifically to accelerate digital teaching and learning for schools. A typical DEP contains productivity software, such as those for word processing, spreadsheets and presentations – as well as email and calendar tools. These standard applications are bolstered with secure and safe software for education in addition to the virtual whiteboards; planning, assignment, marking and collaboration tools; and software to run lessons by live video as well as in-class lessons.

What our customers say

Louise Ritchie MA(Ed), headteacher at London’s Soho Parish School , said:

“What I’ve really valued about working with AdEPT Education through this is the way the communications are all joined up. I always know I can go to the team and get a real human being, with a straight answer.”

Soho Parish chose the Google G Suite for Education platform, setting it up with AdEPT Education’s help. She added: “AdEPT Education gave us our tutorial and have been on hand for support round the clock, and it really is about the little things – for example, I can see the children logging on, and that they’re saying hello to teachers and each other. It fosters independence but at the same time is as close to a classroom as can be.”

Doncaster-based Sunnyfields Primary School also worked with AdEPT Education to take advantage of the DfE programme, choosing the Microsoft 365 Education platform.

Headteacher Dave Richardson said: “The test of a good technology partner is the support. It’s no good having a company set you up on something before disappearing and leaving you to it.

“With AdEPT Education, we got precisely the opposite. They’re proactive and forward-thinking – and always focused on helping me achieve my crazy ideas.

“And most importantly of all, when I ring them for help, I get straight through. The value of this cannot be overstated – it’s crucial to schools, now more than ever.”

Future opportunities?

Google’s G Suite for Education and Microsoft’s Office 365 Education partnership allows AdEPT Technology Group to roll out digital education platforms as well as additional upsell services such as managed support contracts, migration, maintenance and project work on these cloud platforms. AdEPT Education is also ideally positioned to offer user training to teachers and technical users of these platforms to help further support them thought the pandemic, lockdown measures, and beyond.
