Abu Dhabi Shipbuilding Company PJSC (ADSB) has successfully achieved key milestones in its naval production for the Angolan Navy and ongoing projects with the UAE. In late September, ADSB completed the First Steel Cut for the second and third BR71 MKII corvettes, part of a larger contract with Angola. The ceremony was held simultaneously in Abu Dhabi and at CMN, a partner facility in Cherbourg, France. Currently, ADSB is progressing with the construction of all three BR71 MKII corvettes, along with seven of the 11 patrol boats included in the contract.
In addition to the Angolan project, ADSB marked the First Steel Cut for the FA-400 Offshore Patrol Vessel, a 45-meter, fully UAE-designed prototype. The vessel, which is expected to be ready by early 2025, showcases the company’s advanced maritime capabilities.
ADSB is also working on eight large warships, including four Falaj3 class vessels for the UAE Navy. To date, the company has completed more than 20 composite boats for both domestic and international clients, with an active order book exceeding 100 vessels.
